The volcano, the fishing village and the friendly people made a great impression.<br />Natto is definitely an acquired taste! You are right, vegemite is our equivalent, I guess!jase8auhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14582069302006499855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3985569382279836889.post-75444217901455152332014-11-10T15:35:25.827+11:002014-11-10T15:35:25.827+11:00Thanks mate, that was brilliant. It is such a different and colourful country and was hard for me to imagine how the Japanese live. The photo of the boat coming back in was what did it for me. I can now better imagine life over there. And those streets on the way up to the top of the harbour, they don't even look like streets but paths! They are awesome! And the baseball pitch has to have the best view in the world. To top it off there is the abandoned stuff adding a post apocalyptic hue to the picture. I would have had to explore those! I appreciate what you did for me mate and am glad you enjoyed it as much as you did. I'm working on your next assignment but will keep it secret for awhile to build the suspense :)Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08762127397635405920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3985569382279836889.post-33911340644061670262014-11-09T13:56:14.752+11:002014-11-09T13:56:14.752+11:00Well Jason, the BIG ISLAND certainly entertained yo...Well Jason, the BIG ISLAND certainly entertained you and perhaps you will enjoy it even more the next time.It looks like you spotted 3 wise monkeys?I remember the breakfast at my friends home where natto was eaten ,covered in raw egg.It seems to be an acquired taste like vegemite.(I have a feeling this would be available in Tokyo).Toba in Mie ken, easily accessed from Nagoya, offers really good views, boat harbours etc. and I can imagine you would enjoy touring this area as I did.All the best..Noel.Noelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03137421694632736091noreply@blogger.com
